Wowwww… I'm blown away by seeing this picture from a recent article in Strings Magazine!!! (see below)

Why? Because I had an elaborate vision of concerts just like this (with myself as the performer in the middle 😉) in the early 2000's.

I was so excited about the idea at the time! I think I told one or two people about it, but it wasn't the right time in my life for me to create it and I moved on.

I was in the midst of a deep self-discovery process (a lifelong process, it turns out!), and life was taking me in a different direction, which included much less performing and a lot of Alexander Technique teaching.

In fact, I was still doing a lot of continuous education for myself as an Alexander Technique teacher, learning from some of the best teachers around the world, while slowly developing my own Art of Freedom® processes for conscious living and masterful artistry in my private teaching practice.

So I never actually manifested the kind of healing performance that is shown in this picture and described in the article, but it looks EXACTLY like the vision I'd created in my mind's eye years ago, which is so fascinating to me!

I'm so happy that the time has come for this inspired idea of integrating performance with wellness explorations to be realized, and I'm sure many many people will benefit. It warms my heart and I'm very grateful to all who are making this happen, at last! 🙂

I believe the world sorely needs for us musicians to do more of this kind of thing.

Because my specialty with The Art of Freedom® Method is to support the performers and educators who want their music to be healing and purposeful to do the integrative self-work and mindful practice that will skyrocket the quality of their music (and their whole lives!) from the inside out…

…I've decided to create a new summer program specifically for professional string performers who value this kind of impactful work.

I'm currently designing an online practice sanctuary for string players who want to go beyond technique and fulfill both their artistic and human potential with purpose and JOY, while connecting in a deeply supportive way with other musicians of like mind and spirit.
