Enjoy a healthy, balanced life and abundant musical success.

Become the powerful artist you are meant to be!

May 16, 2024

I know you pour your heart and soul into every note, but sometimes it feels like your best just isn’t good enough, right?

You put in the hours, practice hard, follow all the instructions every teacher ever gave you, and you do everything “right”. But when the spotlight hits, your performances just don’t match what you did in the practice room or how you hear it on the inside.

And that’s incredibly frustrating because you don’t understand why your technique is STILL lacking and you’re unable to feel free and express your musical passion with ease the way others do.

Instead, the self-critical voices in your head take over. Nerves kick in. Your bow shakes. Your intonation slips.

Pretty soon, all you want to do is hide. You scramble, try to focus, and do whatever you can to gain control over your mind and your body again. But once you’ve gotten to that point it can be pretty hard to recover (let alone feel totally relaxed, confident, and joyful!) – unless you have the precise skills to get yourself back on track.

Having excellent recovery skills means you don’t even have to think when you catch yourself going off the rails in the middle of a performance; you know exactly what to do to turn things around, and you do it. And you’re instantly having the time of your life again – fulfilling your dream of making great music with ease and JOY.

You probably know these things already. Maybe you’ve even invested in courses to help you with performance anxiety, you’ve hired therapists, and you’ve begged your teachers or friends for advice.

Of course, lots of the advice out there on performance anxiety is helpful, and it’s easy to pick up a grab-bag of free tips and tricks on the internet.

But I’ll be really honest with you. It’s extremely unlikely that any of those will help you get to the root of things and bring everything together for you, so you can integrate:

* the minute details of your individual musical technique; with…

* your personal thoughts, emotions, and creative/spiritual attitude;

* and if you’re a woman…the notable fact that you’re a woman putting yourself out there onstage in a way that has historically been the domain of men.

Over the years that I’ve been helping all kinds of musicians (including lots of men) break through crippling performance anxiety, pain, stress and tension, it’s been interesting to note that most of my clients are women.

Not only that, but most of them have very similar tendencies and ways of approaching what they do and how they think about music.

If you’re a woman, you may not be aware of how much your societal conditioning interferes with your ability to perform at your best, and you may not think that your sex has anything to do with your performance. In fact, I never thought it did, myself, until recently.

Unfortunately, I now have to admit that it does. And it could be a really, REALLY good idea to look at this more closely and learn from what we discover!

This is why I’m offering a free masterclass to begin discussing these issues among a wider audience, and it’s why I’ve created a new 5-week program for self-identifying women to develop Relaxed Confidence, Joy, and Authentic Self-Expression.

I can’t tell you enough how excited I am to be bringing this extremely important new element into my coaching practice, so that I can empower you to fully claim your space as a woman onstage, and be more freely and authentically your whole joyful self – both onstage and everywhere!
