Enjoy a healthy, balanced life and abundant musical success.

Become the powerful artist you are meant to be!

December 5, 2020

We musicians are used to doing things the way we always have. And we like it that way! After all…

⚜️ We still perform music from hundreds of years ago as our standard repertoire, and we look to these old composers as role models: Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Handel, Beethoven…

⚜️ Music conservatories still teach pretty much the same things they taught in France in the 1800’s
⚜️ Despite educational outreach programs to attract broader, younger audiences, listeners still tend to be older and distinct from the mainstream population (except shoppers who can recognize the Pachelbel Canon and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons ?!).

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with loving the old, tried and true! (In fact, I love the old stuff so much I play baroque violin in early music ensembles!)

The problem is… the old ways of delivering our music to audiences have become less and less reliable, and they aren’t keeping pace with the modern world.

And now during the pandemic, most of what we’ve been doing isn’t even possible anymore since we can’t connect with, teach, or perform for people in person. ?

The truth is, quite a few musicians these days are struggling or even leaving music altogether because they can’t make it in the old way right now, but they aren’t prepared to adapt to the “new normal”. (This is totally understandable, and I personally know at least two people in this situation).

But who’s to say that the new ways have to be hard to learn, and that they can’t be at least as effective and satisfying as the old – and might even deliver unexpected advantages?

If you’re seeing the writing on the wall and you don’t want to give up the music-making you love, and you’re ready to learn and build a new, fulfilling future for yourself as a thriving modern musician, NOW is the time to get serious and start! ?

However, it’s really important not to rush into things haphazardly.

You need to have a PLAN – a clear vision, goals, and a good map to get where you want to go – so you stay focused and don’t waste tons of time and energy going in the wrong directions.

When you’re stepping into unknown territory like this, delivering more of your teaching and performances to reach audiences and make a real difference via the internet, it’s very important to make sure you’re well-grounded emotionally and have a really strong mindset for success, so your confidence and resolve won’t buckle when the going gets tough.

It’s also helpful to learn from others who’ve already been doing these things successfully over time, too, so they can save you from going down the online rabbit hole and going nuts with the endless options out there! ‍?

✅ In The Musician’s Advantage™ coaching program, the first thing we do is sit down together and create a personalized roadmap that makes sense for YOU – based on your unique strengths, goals, and interests. I’ll create a visual Life-Design mindmap for you so you can see the big picture and remind yourself every day of what you’re doing and WHY.

.

✅ Next, I’ll teach you the 5 Pillars of my Art of Freedom® Method for conscious living and masterful artistry (Purpose, Mind, Body, Spirit, Artistry), and show you how to integrate these life-pillars and apply them to fulfill your purpose in new ways every day – with good organizational strategies and EASE, and without overwhelm.

.

✅ I’ll help you get super-clear on WHY you’re making this transition into uncharted territories, and help you stay strongly rooted in your purpose and your passion for music. You need that inner strength to anchor you when you start to feel anxious or overwhelmed, and it will help prevent you from succumbing to your noisy inner critic and sabotaging your exciting new plans with negative self-talk.

I want to reassure you that we’re NOT going to throw the baby out with the bathwater!

You don’t have to change everything all at once or leave all the old ways of doing things behind – after all, they are what have connected your heart to your art and given meaning to your life, teaching, and performance for so many years!

And PLEASE – let’s keep playing Bach and Monteverdi! (…umm…not necessarily on electric guitar! 😉

Instead, we’re going to take one step at a time, so you can actually ENJOY this process of change and use it to enhance your personal growth and depth as a musician.
? By the end of the six-month program, you’ll be well on your way to becoming the best “modern” teacher and/or performer you can be because you’ll have my comprehensive system in place to help you make steady progress every single day.

Without a system and a guide, it can simply be too scary to transition away from the old ways and stay motivated and persistent enough to embrace the new, making things work over time. And it will most certainly be a gamble – hit or miss – whether you’re successful or not, if you don’t really know what you’re doing and you don’t have reliable support.

The Musician’s Advantage™ private coaching program will provide a strong, solid foundation for you to get your priorities clear and keep you focused and accountable, so you don’t waste time and energy getting scattered or biting off more than you can chew.

If you want powerful support to bring your musical life up-to-date with happiness and your high standards intact, just private message me so I can send you details and an initial questionnaire to determine whether we’d be a good fit to work together. I currently have only two openings left for musicians ready to set out on a clear, new path with powerful support in December. ? There’s no time like the present, so PM me!
