Do you resist making New Year’s Resolutions? Try this!
In my Alexander Musicians class this week, we discussed ways to make goal-setting EASY, and how to optimize the chances for follow-through.

We had a ridiculous amount of fun in my class, as I ran down a list of the main categories I help my private coaching clients with, and then gave everybody 30 seconds to brainstorm a wishlist for each category.
Yes, you read that right – I set the timer for just 30 SECONDS! This is an experiment in listening to our gut intuition and making it a game.
It was incredibly interesting to see how much everybody enjoyed the process – and we really came up with some good stuff, too!
If you resist making New Year’s Resolutions thought you might like to try it, using the tips below. (You can always go through the 30-second process more than once, and flesh it out later, of course.)
Here are the six categories I generally use when I coach my private clients, within the overall context of The Art of Freedom Method®. They all overlap, of course, and this is just one way to categorize what really is not separable.
1. Health & Wellness (Self-Care), including the subcategories of
Mind, Body, Emotions, Spirit, and Time
2. Relationships
3. Living Environment
4. Professional Work
5. Artistic Practice
6. Recreation
