Many of us fall into the belief that we’re constantly running out of time — not enough time to practice, prepare, rest, or take care of personal responsibilities . This kind of “not enough” thinking is part of a scarcity mindset, and it doesn’t stop with time. It often spills into how we feel about money, opportunities, energy, and even relationships 💭.

The truth is, whether your thoughts about scarcity are accurate or not, they usually don’t reflect the full picture — and most of the time, they aren’t actually urgent or life-threatening 🌱.

Shifting out of scarcity begins with paying attention to the thoughts we’re rehearsing internally and noticing how those thoughts shape our entire experience 🧠.
Your body reacts to your thinking, your emotions follow, and before you know it, your whole self is operating from a contracted, pressured place .

If you want to feel differently, you must first get curious about how you’re thinking. This means noticing your thoughts, seeing how they affect your body, and then choosing — consciously — the state you’d rather cultivate 🌿.

Here’s a simple experiment:
Think of an area of your life where you feel you’re lacking something — time, energy, money, anything.
Pause and sense how your body responds to that thought.
Is there tightening? Pressure? Fatigue?
Now gently imagine thinking about that situation in a different way. What changes?

In The Art of Freedom® Method, we teach the power of self-observation combined with Primal Alexander “Constructive (or Curious) Thinking” — a precise method for using your mind to interrupt unhelpful patterns and shift into a more spacious, supportive state 🎻.
This skill is essential for overcoming performance anxiety, imposter syndrome, burnout, self-doubt, and other fear-based experiences that show up in a musician’s life.

Noticing how your thoughts impact you physically is the first step.
The next shift is learning to acknowledge what you feel, accept it without resistance, and then guide your thinking toward something that brings more ease, not more pressure. Constructive Thinking helps you use your mind in a way that supports your whole well-being, rather than tightening your system and creating more emotional or physical tension 🌬️.

It’s important to remember that “not enough” is a relative perception.
You always have the option to see things from another angle. What you assume is missing may not actually be missing — or there may be possibilities you simply can’t see yet. Sometimes, the unknown works in your favor 🌟.

I hope this gives you a fresh perspective. If mindset struggles are affecting your practice, performance, or teaching, you don’t have to navigate that alone. I currently have a few openings for private coaching, and I’d be glad to support you in strengthening the mind-body connection that elevates both your quality of life and the quality of your music.

If you’d like to explore whether coaching is a good fit, feel free to comment here, on Messenger, or send me an email. And I’d love to hear your thoughts — share in the comments if this resonates!

Take care, and sending lots of love and light your way!

With Love & Enthusiasm,
Jennifer ❤️
