Yesterday, I went bowling with Mio and his grandson…
and bowled a 188 — my best game ever, by far!

Now, before you think “oh, she must be pretty good at bowling,” let me be clear: I bowl maybe once or twice a year.
I haven’t practiced.
I have no cultivated skill.

So how did I have my best game ever?

👉 I applied exactly what I teach my Art of Freedom® students about living consciously and cultivating masterful artistry in any area of life.

To me, the Alexander Technique is fundamentally a manifestation process — it's about knowing what you want and getting out of the way to let it happen with maximum ease and optimal coordination.

Whether that means:

🎵 playing double stops beautifully in tune,
📝 getting your bestselling manuscript to the editor on time,
🏡 or buying your dream home the day after it’s listed—
(all real examples from my life!)

Yesterday, I brought the same success principles to bowling.
Here’s what worked:

✨ Visualize the desired outcome clearly
✨ Trust that it’s already happening
✨ Let go of unhelpful thinking that blocks your natural coordination

I even forgot to wear my glasses—everything was fuzzy!
But after my first spare, I decided to leave them off and stay with what was working! 😄

As the game went on, I had to keep returning to equanimity —
not letting the excitement or desire for success throw me off,
even when my boyfriend’s grandson cheered me toward a 200
and the folks in the next lane were doing things that could have been distracting.

What helped most?

✨ Giving myself time to clarify my intention
✨ Expecting success as if it were already real
✨ Beginning each movement with an easy flow of energy
✨ Keeping my mind free—focused only on the goal

Then came the second game.
I noticed my muscles getting tired, and it was easier to get distracted. My focus was still there—but my energy wasn’t as fresh. It was still a good game, just not quite as effortless as the first.

What struck me most wasn’t the score (I didn't look at the score board until the game was over).
It was the fascination of witnessing effective manifestation in real time — experiencing in the moment how intention and allowing create powerful results.

I always tell my students to keep returning to “Learner Mode”—
curious, calm, detached from outcome. Yesterday, I fully enjoyed living that myself. What fun! 🌟

And you know what? I'd completely forgotten about it one hour later! (This post is only thanks to my boyfriend joking that he’d posted about it—he hadn’t, but his comment reminded me and gave me the idea. 😉)

This is why I call my work The Art of Freedom® Method for conscious living and masterful artistry — it's a way of living that includes the Alexander Technique as a creative, whole-life practice, applied to anything and everything, as desired.

It’s not just for musicians and artists — it’s for anyone who wants to create a more delightful life with vibrant imagination, awareness, and grace. 💫

If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you. Send me a private message, tell me what interests you, and we can have a chat.

Let’s explore what becomes possible when you learn to get out of your own way!

Joyfully,
Jennifer
