How do you respond to money stress?
It’s something I don’t usually talk about much, but money is very often on the minds of musicians, and we all have unpleasant surprises from time to time.
So, how do you respond when life brings you financial lemons??
The good news is… when you have the mind-body tools to respond to stress in healthy ways, you can actually IMPROVE and feel BETTER (make financial lemonade!), instead of falling into a downward, negative, worrisome spiral.
I’m so grateful to have these tools, and to share them with my students!
As F.M. Alexander said, “Mine is a method for the control of human reaction.”
The techniques I teach, based on hands-free Alexander Technique and my own Art of Freedom® Method, not only help us respond positively to stress in general, but they help our energy to flow in ways that:
– heal pain
– relieve physical tension
– conquer performance (and financial!) anxiety
– improve instrumental technique
– vastly improve musical practice efficiency
WOW. All of that goodness – just from learning to pause and think differently!
We call it “Constructive Thinking” in the Alexander world (especially in the Primal Alexander / hands-free) world.
How do YOU respond to stress – onstage and everywhere? Financial or musical?
Let me know – message me or share below!
Here’s a little 10-mi. live video I made for my Facebook group recently (from my car!), talking about a recent personal experience and how I made “financial lemonade” out of unexpected lemons (and they were BIG ONES)!!

Message me here or email me at Jennifer@ArtofFreedom.me if you want to learn how to respond POSITIVELY to stress/anxiety/pain, etc., instead of letting the unexpected throw you off balance and ruin your peace.
I’d be happy to chat with you and suggest the best mind-body program I have to help you with this so you can be more at ease and become a better musician – right now.
Joyfully,
Jennifer
p.s. Got money problems? “This, too, shall pass.” And the discomfort always does fade when you know how to make financial lemonade out of money lemons! 🙂
