Become the powerful artist you are meant to be!

Do you suffer for your art?

Maybe you…

? Experience pain when you play your instrument.

? Get nervous when you perform.

☔️ Feel anxious or depressed more often than you’d like.

If you feel any of those… you’re not alone.

Far too many musicians suffer from all of the above, without getting real relief over long periods of time.

A 2012 Australian study showed that 84% (!!) of orchestral musicians were experiencing pain, performance anxiety, and/or depression. ?

Here’s what’s really wild. That same study concluded that… “a physically based treatment that doesn’t also address associated anxiety and depression might not be effective.” ?

What does that actually mean?

It means that if we want to heal physical pain effectively, we also need to look at the emotions like anxiety and depression that commonly accompany pain.

*** We need to look at the whole person, not just the body. ***

If you’ve experienced pain, you’ve probably tried to solve it in one or more of the following ways:

?Make adjustments that compromise your technique and musical expression for comfort

?Learn meditation or relaxation techniques

?Do more stretches or exercises

? a massage, chiropractic, or acupuncture

?Go to the doctor, get a prescription, and possibly surgery

But none of these approaches gets at the real root of your problem, which is holistic in nature.

Nobody tells you where you REALLY need to go……which is…

…INSIDE. ?

The first thing anybody in pain needs to do is pause (perhaps for an hour, days or weeks), and reflect.

Get in touch with your inner Wisdom. ?

Start a conversation with your body. Not an angry, fearful argument that labels your back or wrist or neck as “bad”. Have a connecting conversation that’s more interested in listening and gathering information than blaming.

Your body has untold hidden resources for self-healing, waiting to be tapped by you. ?

But you’ll never be able to access those if your mind is in chaos, full of noisy clutter and self-critical admonitions and shame.

If you can’t hear what your body is trying to tell you as it screams to you in pain, then you need to learn how to calm your nervous system enough to listen to it.

⭐️ You need mind-body skills to get your fearful, hurried, overwhelmed ego out of the way.

⭐️ You need a way to get in touch with the innocent Love in your heart and your passion for music again, so you’re motivated to integrate a healthier, more balanced self with your artistry.

Because, even though overcoming pain, anxiety, or depression are incredibly important, you don’t just want to stop suffering; you want to thrive in every aspect of your life and become a truly fantastic musician!???
