We can all choose to turn the moments of our lives into true and meaningful art . . . or not. ✨
To do this means paying just as much attention to how you lift a pen or pour tea as when you lift a violin bow or touch a keyboard.
The true artist is willing to shed illusions in favor of the reality revealed in the moment. The true artist has the ability to carry her audience on a wave of feelings rooted in the truth of the present moment, and she never loses touch with her real, central presence for long.
The true artist practices art as a way of being, healing, and transformation, which is completely integrated with everyday life. A purification and transmutation of soul can occur when the ego surrenders to uphold the deeper meaning of your art. 🌿
When your art and life are integrated in light of this purpose, the creative spirit can lead you with grace on a straight path through the ups and downs of life and all the way to the welcoming doors of death.
There is an old German saying: “Those who die before they die, do not die when they die.”
To deepen your artistic sensitivity and practice this kind of presence requires total commitment to discovering your purpose and knowing yourself, much like the commitment of a renunciate monk or Japanese samurai who devotes his life to serving a greater cause with unflinching discipline. 🧘♂️
